Hi everyone, sorry it has been so long between posts but we are in the midst of Armageddon at the moment. We have the builders in, they are in the process of renovating our lounge and dining room, and have uncovered some horrors in the process - I suppose that is the trade off for living in a period property (and the fact that everything seems to be ten times the price for old properties). I promise I will post some before and after pictures when we are finished - should be another couple of weeks.
I attended a fair in Harrogate yesterday, it was absolutely boiling hot, even in the hotel where the fair was held.
There were a steady stream of visitors, but I think the combination of the football and the exceptionally hot weather kept some people away. I still did really well though, so I can't complain. We were shattered when we returned home, it is such hard work doing the fairs and the drive back was long and hot. My next fair is in Matlock, Derbyshire on the 31st of July so it won't be so far to travel.
Quilts and home made lamp shades
Wish us luck with the builders!!

Glad you are back blogging and pleased you had a good day in Harrogate. The weather and football affected the attendance in the afternoon at my Fair.... but I still had a good day.
ReplyDeleteYes...the lavender filled toile pillows were from you! I think they work well in the wire basket with the quilt hearts.
Best of luck with the builders.....!

ReplyDeleteHello Jo,
ReplyDeleteLove to read your blog and look at all your gorgeous goodies. Just wondering if the green cups and saucers are still for sale, they look lovely? x
Hi Helen
ReplyDeleteSorry but the cups and saucers sold at the fair, they are gorgeous and it was hard to part with them. Thank you for leaving your lovely comments.
Jo xx
Hi Jo, So glad my post cheered you up! I've got the builders in my place in a few weeks time. I'm having the wall removed between the dining room and the kitchen, and some new windows in the bathroom and cloakroom. I'm considering staying with my son and his family up North whilst it's done! It'll be worth it in the end. SueXXX
ReplyDeleteHi Jo
ReplyDeleteIt is exciting to renovate a house but I know it can also be quite stressful at times! Alan and I have been doing a fair bit ourselves, that's why it's taking ages to do! The back garden is having a complete makeover too...
Your stall looks gorgeous, lovely quilts...
Take care
